FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about getting started with telehealth psychiatry.
Common questions
Do I need a referral to see a psychiatrist?
Yes. To access a Medicare rebate, you'll need a referral from your GP or another medical specialist. If you don't have one yet, get in touch and we can guide you through the process.
How do telehealth appointments work?
Appointments take place by secure video call. Once your appointment is booked, you'll receive a link and simple instructions. All you need is a private space, a device with a camera, and a stable internet connection.
Are Medicare rebates available for telehealth?
Yes. With a valid referral, eligible telehealth psychiatry appointments attract a Medicare rebate. Our team will explain the costs and any out-of-pocket fees before your appointment.
Which areas of Australia do you cover?
We provide telehealth psychiatry to patients in every state and territory — metropolitan, regional and remote. As long as you are in Australia, you can access our online psychiatry service.
What are your hours?
Our clinic team is available Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm AEST. You can send a referral or booking request through our online form at any time.
Is my information kept confidential?
Absolutely. Your privacy is paramount. All telehealth consultations and records are handled securely and in line with Australian privacy and health legislation.
Can you prescribe medication via telehealth?
Yes. Our psychiatrist can assess, diagnose and prescribe medication where clinically appropriate, and coordinate ongoing scripts with your GP.
Can you diagnose ADHD in adults?
Yes. We offer comprehensive adult ADHD assessment via telehealth, including clinical interview, developmental history and standardised questionnaires. See our ADHD assessment page for details.
