Terms of Use
By using the Psychiatrists Australia website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Not medical advice
Content on this website — including articles, condition information and self-assessment tools — is provided for general information and education only. It is not medical advice, does not create a doctor–patient relationship, and is not a substitute for assessment, diagnosis or treatment by a qualified health professional. Always seek the advice of your GP, psychiatrist or other qualified clinician about your individual circumstances.
Emergencies
This website and our telehealth service are not emergency services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000. For 24/7 crisis support call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636.
Self-assessment tools
Our screening tools use validated questionnaires for educational purposes. Results are indicative only and do not constitute a diagnosis. Scores are calculated in your browser; responses are not transmitted to us unless you choose to share them.
Appointments, fees and telehealth
Clinical services are provided subject to the practice's booking, fee and cancellation policies, which are confirmed at the time of booking. Telehealth consultations require a reliable internet connection and a private setting; where telehealth is clinically unsuitable, we may recommend alternative care.
Intellectual property
Website content is owned by or licensed to Psychiatrists Australia and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without permission.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Psychiatrists Australia excludes liability for loss arising from reliance on website content or from interruptions to website availability. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law.
