Adult ADHD Self-Assessment (ASRS)
This is a screening tool, not a diagnosis.
These questions are for educational purposes only. They do not replace a clinical assessment, and a formal diagnosis can only be made by a qualified health professional such as a psychiatrist. If you're concerned about your mental health, please speak with your GP or a psychiatrist.
This screening tool uses the Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS v1.1) Part A — a widely used, validated instrument developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization. It helps identify whether you may be experiencing symptoms consistent with adult ADHD.
What to expect
- 6 questions, taking approximately 2 min
- Your answers are processed in your browser — they are never sent anywhere.
- You'll see your score, severity band and recommended next steps immediately.
The ASRS v1.1 consists of two parts. This screening uses Part A, which contains the 6 questions most predictive of ADHD in adults. Each question asks how often you experience a particular behaviour. A positive screen (4 or more items in the high-frequency range) suggests that further assessment may be worthwhile.
