Anxiety Self-Assessment (GAD-7)
This is a screening tool, not a diagnosis.
These questions are for educational purposes only. They do not replace a clinical assessment, and a formal diagnosis can only be made by a qualified health professional such as a psychiatrist. If you're concerned about your mental health, please speak with your GP or a psychiatrist.
This screening tool uses the Generalised Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7), a validated instrument widely used by health professionals to assess anxiety severity. It asks about how you've been feeling over the past two weeks.

Scores are grouped into severity bands: minimal (0–4), mild (5–9), moderate (10–14) and severe (15–21). It is also sensitive to panic disorder, social anxiety and PTSD.
